About Pastor Dennis

Husband, Dad, Pastor, Pop – These are all titles that Dennis gladly accepts. He married Susan, the love of his life, in January 1987. The Lord blessed them with four beautiful daughters: Katie, KariAnn, Kelsey, and Libbie.

Dennis loves the Lord Jesus, his family, and his church. He enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, golfing, and just about everything outdoors.

He graduated from Leander HS in 1985, Howard Payne University in 1989, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1998. He is presently pursuing a PhD in Pastoral Ministry at SWBTS.

He has served as pastor of First Baptist Church of Watauga since February 2005. Prior to that, he was blessed to serve as the pastor of FBC May for over 13 years. Early on, the Lord blessed him with two congregations that helped him learn to preach while a student at HPU – Rolling Acres Baptist Church in Bangs, TX and Locker Baptist Church.
